Food has always been my way of expressing love, culture, and connection. Growing up in Kolhapur, a city celebrated as the heartland of Maharashtrian cuisine, I was surrounded by the irresistible aromas and flavors of our traditional kitchen. Under the guidance of my mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law, I learned to prepare authentic, time-honored dishes that carry with them stories of heritage and warmth.
Over time, cooking became more than a passion, it became my bridge to home and my way of preserving traditions while living far from India. With the encouragement of friends and colleagues here in Perth, I felt inspired to share this journey and bring the richness of Maharashtrian cuisine to the wider community.
That dream became Krushna’s Kitchen in Canning Vale, a place where every thali, snack, and sweet is prepared fresh, just like it would be in a Maharashtrian home. Here, food is not just something we serve; it is an experience, a memory, and a celebration of the authentic taste of Maharashtra.
